Technical Difficulties at 37

HA, that title sounds so much funnier than it really is. But it's true. I turned 37 Monday and while I had intentions of getting my 36 while 36 list finished earlier, life has gotten in the way. In a good way (except for the tech sector). I'm staying busy with projects and welcoming a new year in this beautiful life. The idea of growing older used to bother me and around my birthday, I would feel sad. To combat that feeling, I began making lists of random things I did the previous year. It started when I began scrapbooking, at about the age of 28. I continued the tradition and blogged about it - 30 | skipped 31 | 32 | 33 | skipped 34, but made a 13 things in 2013 list - and as I was typing this and trying to figure out what the heck was going on with my blog and broken links, most of my 35 while 35 list disappeared. The two jumping photos I was referring to as well as most of the list. I am so annoyed, but trying not to complain about it. But SO frustrated at this moment. Deep breath. And a reminder this is why I like to scrapbook with paper and have lists in addition to things online (easily accessible, though not if it vanishes into the ether).

On top of that, I had a heck of a time printing out what I needed for a couple of projects using my Epson XP-950 because it kept saying "Cannot recognize the following ink cartridge9s). Try installing them again." And it was the Yellow ink I had JUST replaced! After over an hour of trying to resolve this, I luckily found I had another new one, and I put it in. Well then it said I needed to replace a different color. After more frustrating moments, I finally printed out the OH KALE YEAH design and then tried another print. It came out all striped so after a bunch of nozzle checks and head alignment/cleaning stuff, I tried again and more than 1/4 of the yellow ink was gone. From 3 pages, of which 2 were useless anyway?! BLERG. Ok, so maybe that was a big long complaint or rant. Sorry. It's over now and I feel somewhat better just typing this whole thing out.

So instead of my 36 while 36 list I promised you, I am just showing off this tote I made in honor of National Kale Day! And I am asking for your advice on your favorite home inkjet printer. I think I may be in the market for a new one.
