Welcome to the blog blitz for the Washi Workshop at Studio Calico. I am so excited to be a part of this. (I think it’s pretty clear by now that I have a thing for tape). The workshop will be taught by Megan Hoeppner, Creative Director of Creating Keepsakes, and will feature many other amazingly talented scrapbookers who have plenty of useful for tips and tricks for using your stash of this highly addictive sticky stuff.For those who have lots of tapes, and for those who may not have any, I created this fun, colorful washi tape background for you to download and use on your projects!Click here to download the PDF: Amy Tangerine Washi Tape Background.     Somthing fun, and relevant…. yesterday when I was getting ready to go to bed I found 2 pieces of washi tape stuck to my shirt – inside. I have no idea how the got there, but I had fun scrapping ;-)

    Love washi tape – bought an old fashioned candy jar to store it on my desktop. When I bought it, it was only 1/3 full (in fact I almost bought a smaller version of the jar). In a few short weeks, I have to now shove all the rolls in because the jar is overflowing!!!!

    This was so much fun. My 3 year old grandson Finlay phoned me up last night. He was strumming his toy guitar and singing ‘the grand old Duke of York’……3 times over. His Mum told him that was enough but he said ‘no. I’ve got to practise’ So sweet and funny. Wish I had been there to photograph him.

    Something fun? My mom had no idea what washi tape was, so for Christmas I gave her 3 rolls + a tiny handheld journal…and for the first time every – she’s writing down stuff, sticking bits + pieces of her life into it and feeling creative. (She was a hardcore very rules-y scrapbook years ago, but the pile of pictures was getting her down. Washi tape re-inspired her!)

    I am just getting into Washi tape. Today my Bichon Sassy and I went to the beach with my parents who are in town. Sassy loves the beach and wouldn’t let me just lay in the sun and read. We went on several walks and I would take of her leash and just let her run. She had the time of her life.
