Sugar Rush!

The February Studio Calico kits are so sweet. I know I always say this, but if I had more time, I would have absolutely done more projects. Thankful to have plenty of leftovers though, as these bits will be used for more pages for clients as well as myself. Here's a basic run down of how I approached this spread using the only the Project Life main kit. As usual, I printed some of the photos and placed them where I thought they would go. The burst of the Hooray card was stitched while catching up season 3 of Homeland (which we finished last week).

This week I also had the CHA drawn and stitched ahead of time. The vellum alphabet stickers in this kit are amazing and I want at least 10 more sheets. I incorporated Instax photos taken at the show. Because I loved the 2 3x4 cards so much, I put them together to fit into the 4x6 slot by simply adding a piece of washi tape to the back.

I love my new Epson XP-950 Photo Printer, mainly because of the quality and the wireless capabilities. Unlike my Canon Selphy CP900, this doesn't need a separate app and it also has it's own wifi somehow, so I can always print directly from my phone's photos quickly and easily. I am using matte paper at the moment, but will likely change to semi gloss soon. I am waiting to do my complete review of it after the ink runs low, but so far there isn't any sign of it, which is great.

I hesitated to cut apart this yummy card, but the cone color was coordinated perfectly.

I typed out some journaling knowing I would cut it apart.

I accidentally got some black ink on the top of this, so I turned that spot into a heart and added some wording below.

Here is the finished spread.

And I didn't get a chance to use these cards just yet, found in the Ring Pop add-on, but you may recognize some of the designs from Plus One (some are re-colored). And the black and white camera is an acrylic piece. You may remember the art work from my very first collection with American Crafts.

Here are the layouts I made:

And although I created more girly layouts with the Scrapbook kit, I did manage to make this one of Asa enjoying an ice cream sandwich a couple years ago. Stamping on the background is fun, and almost creates a pattern paper of its own.
