I have been wanting to create a framed series of photos of Jack with stitching on them for quite some time. After receiving these enlargements from Persnickety Prints (my favorite size right now is 8"x12"), I decided to go for it. Using the best white pen ever, a Uni-ball Signo, I began by writing out the second line of journaling because I wanted to fill in as much of the grass with stitching as possible. Then I took a We R Memory Keepers brad setter (you can use any paper piercer) and began poking holes about 1/4" apart. Then using a back-stitch, I began stitching my letters. After some time relaxing on the sofa - stitching can be incredibly therapeutic - it was done. Not quite sure how I am going to frame it - either a simple floating frame or perhaps I'll just get it done professionally. I am loving the texture and how it turned out.
