Last Sunday, mommy, Jack and I drove down to San Diego just for the day so I could teach a workshop at Paper Tales. We left Los Angeles around 9:30am and arrived to the store just 2 hours later! How amazing would it be if traffic was that light every day?! Jack did great in the car, even though he is in a phase where he wants to either hear the same song over and over again or gets super cranky when you don't go to the next song fast enough. Needless to say there are a couple songs I never care to hear ever again in my life. Fortunately his Ahpo was next to him in the backseat willing to share her iPhone with him to watch YouTube videos. This one is his current obsession.

When we got to the store, there were already ladies waiting outside even though the class didn't start until 1pm. Loved that they were willing to help bring the boxes to the store, as Jack discovered the pink chair outside and didn't want to leave. Michelle, the owner of Paper Tales had raved about a cheesesteak place nearby, and we just had to try it. Gaglione Brothers was amazing. So delicious. Probably not the best idea to have a cheesesteak full of grilled onions and garlic fries before teaching a huge class, but I apologized profusely to the ladies!

It was amazing seeing how everyone's album turned out so different yet so stunning and personalized with their own twist. A few people posted on Instagram under the hashtag #amytangerine - a peek at the kithere's a gorgeous cover, and a fun collage - yes, all of my Melissa shoes still smell good! I always have such a wonderful and inspiring time teaching these workshops. If you're ever near San Diego, I highly recommend stopping into Paper Tales! Thanks Michelle and all the wonderful women who came for the class. We ended up driving home and getting back just before 8pm, which would have been perfect timing for Jack to do his bedtime routine, but the poor guy didn't have a single nap all day. So bath was cut short, only a couple books were read and he wanted his bed. I was energized but also exhausted and in bed by 10pm.

I'm teaching this workshop at Whim So Doodle in Florida on May 14 - there are only a couple spots left! If you're going to be in Mexico City or want to take a trip there, I'll be teaching a similar workshop on May 23 and there are a few spots left there too! And if you're interested in seeing what I scored while at Paper Tales as well as seeing mica gold ink in action, check out this video.
