Happy New Year! Right about now you’re probably feeling a lot like I am. After a mostly relaxing holiday spent with family in town, it’s been a bit tough to get back into a mind frame of work. Yesterday I was feeling a bit blue about getting back to reality. But then I realized, wait, I love my reality, my routine and work. I did my best to just enjoy every moment for what it was. I talked myself out of my “I’m sad it’s Sunday because tomorrow is Monday and JC has to go back to work and will no longer be making us big breakfasts that make me have to exercise beforehand to justify eating so much and Jack and I won’t get to hang out with daddy all day” nonsense. SO, I woke up super motivated looking forward to getting back into the crazy rhythm of work. This week, month, year is likely going to be super busy, but in the best way. I’m prioritizing like never before and letting go of stuff that would have weighed me down in the past. Looking forward to sharing even more with you online, as the revamp of the website is nearing completion. So simply put, I wanted to keep in mind that no matter what is going on in life, there is so much to be grateful for. And even though it’s sometimes hard to do (especially on Mondays), I am realizing that each and every day is an opportunity to start fresh. How amazing is that? There are so many reasons to be happy and now Mondays can be another one of them!

Hope to spread some more motivation for each of your Mondays this year using this watercolor set from Michaels and brush that says Royal 2 on it (can’t remember where it’s from, sorry!). I also found some alternative watercolor options – Colortopia Watercolor Set | this one | and this one. If you have a favorite quote – snarky, silly, or simple in its’ wisdom, please share in the comments.
