Thankful Cards by Shanna

This time of year I love to send out cards of gratitude to those I love. Even though we thank them all year it is nice to put some of those things to words every now and then. When I am making a batch of cards there are two schools of thought: 1. make an assembly style line where all the cards end up the same 2. put out a pile of your favorite products, create a theme and make each card slightly unique. This is my kinda card making!!

I pulled out some of my favorite Plus One items and a handful of kraft card bases. I also pulled out some other basic supplies including some doilies.

The first thing I did is get my theme down. This is often the base of the card anything larger I might be using on it and the sentiment I am using. I find that since I am reproducing this I like to use something like a stamp or label maker for this kind of project. For these cards I wanted them all to read "thankful for you" and decided to start with a doily folded over the top of my card.

For my first card I keep it simple but cutting a heart out of my plus one paper and attaching the sentiment I made with my label maker right on top. This could not be easier but turned out perfectly adorable!

With my second card I dove into the puffy stickers. I though the little geo tag would be perfect "pointing" down to my sentiment, and I love how it draws your eye right to the "THANKFUL". By keeping my doily and sentiment strip the same I am just changing it slightly by adding a different embellishment.

For my last card I quickly added my doily then put my sentiment strip on a little tag because I really wanted to use those adorable clothes pins in this project. I love that pop of aqua on this kraft and white card, and my adding a mustard tie to the end of my tag it adds in another texture.

In a matter of minutes I have created three unique cards by simply changing your favorite Amy Tangerine embellishments!! I hope you have an amazing month, and take a moment to document your gratitude! -Shanna

That is some serious eye candy! Makes me want to pull out a stash and make a batch of cards! Other Design Team member posts can be found here. Shop for Plus One and Stitched at your local scrapbook stores and online at Scrapbook.com and Simon Says Stamp!
