Obsessed with Traveler's Notebooks
Last month I played along with Ali Edwards' for Day in the Life. Since it wasn't a typical day, I decided the best way to document it was simply to write things down in a book. Currently I am using a Midori Traveler's Notebook for my notes and random things, so I thought I would simply include it as a two page spread. Because much of the day was spent by myself traveling, I had time to jot things down pretty much as they happened. I also had time to add cute touches with stamps and filled in doodles with a white gel pen. On this trip I learned why I used to be frustrated with these Sakura white gel pens. It turns out I've been storing them in a cup, and you're not supposed to do that. They are best stored sideways! I remember thinking that they wouldn't work after I only had them for a short time, and now I know why. So do yourself a favor and store these pens on their side. Laying down, like they are taking a nap. This white pen has a smaller tip than my other favorite, the uniball signo.
Love Traveler's Notebooks too? I'm contributing to an online class at Studio Calico called Everyday Traveler. Registration closes on June 30, 2015. Class begins July 6, 2015 - hope to see you in the classroom!
And since I am in major video making mode, here is a little flip through along with a demo.
