SC Sock Hop Reveal

With only a day and half to work with these kits, I cranked out 7 layouts and a card. It was an easy thing to do considering I loved so much of what was included in this month's kit plus add-ons #2, 3, and 4.

I made 2 layouts using the main kit only. For this 8.5" x 11" page, I used a bunch of scraps to create the sunshine effect. I also cut out numbers from patterned paper to create a list of things I am currently loving.

For this one, I started off by dripping the different mists onto the page and then decided to have the sun rays be rainbow-colored to match. It may have been the daze that I was in causing me to switch the yellow and green, oopsy. Tomorrow I will have a process post showing how this layout came together.

The geotag stamp paired with Ali Edward's "awesome" phrase worked perfectly with the photos from my recent safari in South Africa. The grid photo was printed by Postal Pix.

For this layout, I started off by choosing which arrows I wanted to stitch. I then used the paper piercer to make the holes and backstitched with Aunt Lydia's crochet thread.

The DT'ers were challenged to lift a member. I chose ShannaNoel and sort of combined a few of her layouts to lift. It was a loose interpretation/combination of this one and this one. For extra embellishment, I stitched the buttons down and used the French knot to secure the sequins onto the page. The photo collage features pictures from each day in the month of June and was created using the My 365 app + Flickr and then printed by Persnickety Prints.

After cutting the "Love this" from Ali Edwards with my Silhouette SD, I used it as a mask. I plan on using the misted piece for a different project. I used bright mists to complement the rainbow filter (from the Snapster app) that I applied to  my Instagram photos. Both pictures are from Persnickety Prints.

Even though I no longer make Project Life spreads on a weekly basis, I created a single page spread to commemorate my 34th birthday celebrations. The Silhouette was put into good use this month, and it's not too late to grab the amazing bundle on SC (and have it ship free with your kit!) And there's still time to register for the Cut It Out class full of exclusive designs. Darling Dear has made its way into the shop, just in time for preparing projects for the holidays. (Though I am still in major spring/summer weather and color scheme mode).
