Quick Jaunt to Germany

A couple weekends ago, I taught at the Mega Event put on by Scrapbook Werkstatt. I had the pleasure of meeting Tina and Mireia at the first CHA I exhibited in with American Crafts. We had discussed a trip to have me teach in Germany then, and a little over a year later, it happened!

Before my class on Saturday, Bill and Donna Downey took JC and me to explore Frankfurt. We were in search of modern/contemporary art and only 1 of the museums turned out to be open. We had some good laughs at the art we did see (and were perplexed by some), enjoyed hanging out with Donna and Bill, walked around a bit, had Starbucks and also lunch. The only thing I wish I had taken a photo of was the schnitzel we enjoyed al fresco in the main square.

We used this daybook and these Journal thickers in the afternoon class along with Studio Calico Mister Huey's.

Found some posts from others about the event herehere and here. Though it was quick, it was a really nice trip. Everyone was great to be around, and we hope to see a bit more of Germany (and eating more schnitzel) next time. Thanks so much Scrapbook Werkstatt and Steffi for sending over this group photo.
