Playing catch up

In case you missed the last Project Life video I made for Two Peas In a Bucket, here it is. PLartsyWeek 15 | Copyright Two Peas In a Bucket. It was fun mixing manufacturers and adding an artsy touch.I got home from Australia on Monday morning and 48 hours later I am already on another airplane. Staying in the country this time, but traveling and being away from home can be a bit tough. I crammed a bunch of catch up into the last day and half. Managed to finish another PL spread:Project Life by Amy TanDSC_0991DSC_0992Supplies from Two Peas In A Bucket.

I also got started on a new one using Kelly Purkey's awesome April/May kit, which had these awesome alphabet stickers in it. Posted this on Instagram and found out that the alphabet stickers are indeed available separately, and I plan on stocking up.The April/May kit that I am going to finish playing with when I get back next week is sold out. But that's why I am giving you ample warning so you can grab the June/July kit. And shop for her other amazing goodies exclusively at Simon Say Stamp.

HSN!

I have to admit it's pretty surreal seeing my Project Life spread on HSN.com. Thanks to Instagram, I was alerted when JasmineMarie posted this photo with the caption, "I can't even explain how excited I am right now for #projectlife. Eek! @amytangerine and @chiaotan, I see you on TV!" So the next thing I had to do was get my tush off the sofa (I suppose I could have just tried turning on the TV), and I went to my computer to see if I could find it online. Lo and behold, it was the first image that popped up on their website. So neat.amy tangerine Project Life on HSNExtremely grateful to Becky Higgins for creating this amazing memory keeping system and for the fun opportunity to work with the Blush edition. I especially love that it goes so well with Yes, Please!HSN amy tangerine exclusive mini kitFor those of you who have reached out in various ways, THANK YOU for your enthusiasm. And yes, if you chose the auto-ship for either Blush or Jade, you will be getting the exclusive Amy Tangerine mini kit in September! Woohoo. Yes, this is an exclusive product and will not be available anywhere else. Apparently they are selling quickly. At the time this post went up, over 7550 had sold and there are only 22 hours left. Whoa!

PL Week 4 + calendar date stamp in action

For the most part, I am an optimistic person who looks on the bright side of life. Focusing on the positive and being grateful for all that I have (and all that I don't) is usually the way to go. Some days, however, things aren't that easy. Week 4 was one of those up and down weeks where I experienced some amazing highs (my dear friend spilled the beans that she got engaged!) and some interesting lows (a bit too personal to go into detail about here). Out of the 7 days, there really only were 4 that were rough. And when I look back on it, things weren't really even all that bad. It was a trying and difficult week 4 days. But we pulled through, and I am glad it got documented. It was really therapeutic to get it all done. And how funny is that girl flipping the bird on that postcard? Yup, that about sums up how I felt about the week. Becky's got a bunch of amazing (and happier) creative team layouts on the blog today. I used the Project Life Core Kit - Seafoam Edition and a mix of fun scrapbooking supplies. In case you missed it, I showed on Two Peas how to add embroidery to your PL pages in the newest Project Life video. Also, Jennifer McGuire has an awesome video using our Calendar date stamp - perfect for Project Life, scrapbook pages and cards too!

Project Life catch up (not to be confused with ketchup)

It has happened. I've fallen behind on Project Life (and am still not caught up as of today) but I am trying my best to deal with it. There are worse things.  So I finally had the chance to play some catch up on Weeks 2 & 3 of Project Life and recorded a video while doing so.

All photos except for the photobooth ones were printed by Persnickety Prints. If you were curious as to my extensively fancy set up for recording these videos, it's quite the contraption above my head. Thank goodness for the editing power of iMovie since I spent a lot of time pondering what I would do for each little pocket. Thanks Ann-Marie for snapping these behind-the-scenes photos. || How are you all doing with Project Life?

Project Life : Week 1

First, I must thank you all for your kind words about the announcement of my new book. So exciting that some of you already have it, and for those who don't, it's easy to order an autographed copy online! They should also be on newsstands any day now - check with your local scrapbooking stores as well as Archivers', Joann & Hobby Lobby. projectlifebannerI have to admit, it was a strange start to this year. I was not in my normal, excited, refreshed state when the New Year came along. No one could likely tell I was in a funk, but I could. Happily, it's now week 3 and whatever it was has passed. Pretty sure putting this spread together had something to do with it. The process is therapeutic and almost has a cleansing quality. Like after the week is over, and after I have put it into my Project Life album, then I can totally move on. Since I was in a but of a funk, I decided to stick with a simple color palette, so as not to add more unnecessary frustration. I also used Pam Garrison's "It's a Bit Week" stamp set throughout. Recently I was asked what album I am using this year for Project Life. Originally I was going to use another  black with cameras album, but am seriously considering switching to this woodgrain chevron.
