A video + some sneaks

Been enjoying all the comments on the post below with all the interesting scrapbooking/memory keeping facts. The darling Becky Higgins (creator of Project Life) came by Scrapfest with her husband and shot this little video. Please ignore the inebriated look on my face in the still shot below.

Here are some sneaks for Freehand Scraps October kit. Elaine, the sweet owner of the kit club asked me to be their guest designer.

I had to get my hands on the September main & mini album kit (which are both now sold out), mainly because I was in love with the wooden silhouette of the USA and the potty people too.

And because the mini album worked perfectly to capture the last road trip of the summer (up to Ojai).

The full reveal of the October Freehand Scraps layouts will come Saturday, October 1st (also World Card Making Day).

Scrapfest wrap up & giveaway

Scrapfest was a total blast. Absolutely loved meeting so many wonderful fellow scrapbookers and catching up with old friends. If you missed out on the fun this year, mark your calendars as next year it will be September 14-16, 2012, once again at the Mall of America.

Wishing I had taken more photos (or had someone send me photos from my classes) for my mini book available at local scrapbook stores and online at Scrapbook.com and Two Peas In A Bucket:

For those of you who didn't attend or missed out on "A Stitch In Time" mini album, I have an extra kit (with materials and instructions) to give away, along with a Love Struck stamp set.

*To be entered to win, please leave a comment with a fun scrapbooking/memory keeping fact. Winner will be selected and announced on Monday, Oct 3rd.

3 days in the mall

My former self from the age of 6 to 16 would have been so impressed with the future me. A lover of shopping from a very young age, I had a "shopping" birthday party where Papa and Mommy drove 6 of my closest friends in our station wagon with wood paneling to Woodfield Mall so we could go to the Sanrio store. I think I was 10. Like so many teenagers, much of my free time was spent at the mall. Well, I am happy to report that at the age of 32, I finally made it to the Mall of America for the first time, where I spent the past 3 days working with American Crafts at Archiver's Scrapfest. Here's a peek at the photos from my phone:

Lots of scrapbooking, make and takes, laughs with old friends and new, craftiness, and of course, a bit of shopping.

Sorry for the delay in announcing the winner of the Glee Club kit from Studio Calico. Enjoyed reading all about the mostly happy memories from school. And the winner is:

Oooh! I was just wondering if I should join Studio Calico so I can try out this kit! I love the layouts you created with it. Fav school memory would have to be the experience of becoming more independent. Starting to plan and do thing on my own, hanging out with a wide group of friends from all sorts of backgrounds, sporting events... I was lucky to have a wonderful schooling experience.
