From my Japan trip: A Fangerine's Beautiful Book

The last time I visited Japan (November 2016), the lovely @naonao76 made the most amazing book using my products. I have been meaning to share this post for a while now. Since traveler's notebooks have become increasingly popular, I thought it would still be relevant to showcase her amazing talents. Here's a photo of us together at my workshop!

I loved her work so much that I wanted to share it with you! I hope these photos give you some inspiration and ideas for ways that you can use my latest scrapbooking line, On A Whim.

In case you missed it, here’s Part 2 of the video from my Japan trip, featuring the workshop where I met her and got to see her work.

Seeing how all of you use my products to create things makes me so happy. If you use any of them on your projects, post a photo on Instagram using #amytangerine!

Thanks again for sharing this with me! To see more of her work, follow her at @naonao76 on Instagram

Zinia's Fun Tags and Floral Clusters Layout

Hello everyone, it’s Zinia (aka Abstract Inspiration) again to share with you another layout I created by mixing the two latest collections designed by Amy.

For this layout, I decided to mix two of my most favorite elements, tags and flowers. “Oh happy Life” collection has a package of gorgeous die-cut tags with stunning delicate designs. “On a Whim” includes a package of fun watercolor resist tags so I thought it would be really fun to mix them together.

I used some Faber-Castell gelatos and Pitt markers to color my resist tags and then I started building up my page. For my background, I used a subtle pattern paper design called “Ray of Light”. I arranged my tags as if they were hanging from an imaginary piece of thread and created a base for my flowers to sit on.

To build up my flower cluster I went through all the embellishments and picked every single flower. I mixed ephemera pieces from both collections, some clear stickers and also a ton of flowers I fussy cut from Oh Happy Life “Good Morning” pattern paper. This is definitely my most favorite paper from the collection cause you can create a ton of extra ephemera pieces by cutting out all the flowers.

To help my photo pop, I used a few pieces of pattern paper from On a Whim 6x6 Paper pad. The scaled down patterns peek around the photo beautifully adding some extra color and definition.

To finish off the page I added a couple of hearts around the page as well as a heart-shaped ephemera piece for my journaling.

I really love how fresh and whimsical this layout looks and the process of making it was nothing but enjoyable.

The Keepsake Kitchen Diary!

Though I have been cooking more recently than before, I have never really been one to keep a recipe book or card box. That is until the awesome ladies at Lily & Val offered to send me The Keepsake Kitchen Diary. Since I love creative collaborations, I had to send her some of my latest products so she could use them too. I was immediately smitten with the book when I first got it - the beautiful chalk lettered illustrations by Valerie McKeehan caught my eye immediately. To be perfectly honest, it was one of those cases where I had this gorgeous book in my hands but I didn't want to write in it or mess it up because it's so beautiful. I keep far too many books and journals blank, so I had to talk myself out of the fear of messing it up and to jump right in.

One of our favorite go-to recipes as of late is essentially an adaptation of Hot For Food's Buddha Bowl. We had the pleasure or having her stay with us and you can check out the fun we had in being spoiled with delicious Vegan food in Lauren Toyota's video

I should probably properly make a video for the meal that we have at least once a week now and take the time to write an actual recipe with measurements one day. For now, you'll just see this spread which was an excuse to dive right in and use my supplies in Lily & Val's gorgeous Keepsake Kitchen Diary.

The gorgeous illustrations are reason enough to get this Keepsake Diary, but imagine how special this will be to pass on to someone with it full of delicious recipes! If you're still looking for a special gift for Mother's Day, this might just be it!

Creativation (formerly CHA) 2017

So many awesome moments from Creativation. As much fun as it is seeing brand new products, it's the connecting with people that tops it all off. Perhaps that's why I couldn't make the video any shorter, but I hope you enjoy it and feel like you were right there with us!
