How We Do Cards
Happy December! Or more like, OMG, how is it already December?! Normally around this time I would be stressed about tons of things, especially surrounding sending out holiday cards. I would be scrambling to figure out a photo shoot, then choosing the right photos and then getting the cards made and mailed. But this year, I am not worried about it one bit. In fact, I have already decided to use a photo from our shoot with Two Lee Photography from late August. And I've once again partnered with Postable to make the entire process easy (and even fun) and stress-free. We started sending out holiday cards after Jack was born - you can see the 2014 card and the 2013 card. As you may already know, Postable is a remarkably clever site that takes all the stress out of the address collection process, and makes the daunting task of writing any cards (especially thank you notes + holiday cards) a breeze. They offer cards from uber popular and talented designers like Rifle Paper Co, One Two Canoe, and Small Adventure, in addition to allowing you to create your own custom cards. And they actually mail the real cards for you! Their site just got a redesign, and I allotted myself 30 minutes to try and get our holiday cards done.
At first I thought I would change it up this year and choose a black and white photo. I saved this as an option, which I still think is cute.
I played around with some different designs and was able to figure out quickly what would work and what wouldn't. Clearly text over JC's face isn't the best idea.
After I decided on a design, I ordered a postcard version for JC as a proof (just $1.50 plus the cost of the stamp $.35) and got this message!
The quality is awesome, but JC wanted the comma omitted after Love and I think I am going to go with the card that comes in the envelope instead.
Super excited to be way ahead of the game (well, at least with this aspect of the holidays) and it took less than 30 minutes to accomplish! Thanks Postable! It will take less than 5 minutes to make sure everyone in our address book gets sent the final card. Hooray!
Here is the best part! Postable is offering 15% off through the rest of the year with the code: TANGERINE
And there's a chance to win $150 credit on my Instagram photo - GOOD LUCK!
