St. Regis Monarch Beach

Last month JC and I took our first little trip just by ourselves, without Jack. It was a quick little, less than 24 hour getaway an hour and half south to the St. Regis Monarch Beach. It was a bit of a trial to see if JC and I could actually be away from him for an evening. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing Jack was in good hands with my mom and my cousins. We were slightly spoiled as we were surprised with an upgrade upon arrival, which included butler service. Besides one of the best massages I have ever had and an extremely memorable dinner at Stonehill Tavern, we also enjoyed bloody mary's by the pool (they are the best!! I just had sips, but I was very tempted to order my own), a walk down to the ocean, a tram ride back up and a delicious brunch. Whenever I see chilaquiles on the menu, I can't help but order them.

I couldn't resist getting a bit of work done by the pool, so I brought some supplies and my Instax Share. You can read more about the little printer in this post. We've already decided that while our little getaway for 2 was lovely, we will be bringing Jack next time.
