DIY Wood Magnets
When I first got these wood pieces in the Studio Calico Hello, Hello kit, I knew I wanted to save them for something other than paper projects. But I did want to stamp on them. At first, I had the idea to emboss them in white, but as you can see over the next few photos, it didn't work out.The impression didn't turn out as clear or bold as I was hoping. Plus it started to smell really bad (like burning chemicals) and the wood started to warp. So I went with a simpler plan to just stamp them with black ink. For this last one, I contemplated for a while, and then decided to draw on it with this white gel pen. Then I cut apart a promotional magnet I received and adhered them on the backs.
