Bluegrass Farm Kit from Studio Calico!

You all - this may be one of my favorite kits ever. And though I didn't have much time to work on these projects - about 3 hours as soon as I got back from a trip to the east coast, to be completely honest about it - I LOVED all the custom elements in Bluegrass Farm. There are plenty of supplies leftover, which I have already used for an assignment for STITCHED, a class I am contributing to with Paige Evans. Though I consider myself to be a pretty fast scrapbooker, when I am surrounded by supplies that I love, I want to take my time to absorb it and really think of how to best use everything. Without that luxury this time around, I took my favorite bits of Bluegrass Farm and roller with it. I used my Epson XP-950 Wireless Photo Printer to print all of these photos. It was easy to turn the selfie of the three of us into B&W using the PicTapGo app. Then I simply selected the photos I wanted to print and wirelessly sent them to my printer. Easy peasy. Using the Project Life main kit only on the left side and various add-on's on the right side, I created a spread that highlighted our recent trip to Florida. Also taking into account the fact that Jack's a great traveler who is 6 months old and experiencing many firsts - like his first wedding! I was assigned PL on one side and a layout on the other. These often appear this way in my albums, but I love the intentional look of this one where the colors feel completely balanced.

Now for the Bluegrass Farm Scrapbook kits. Using only the main kit, I created 2 layouts, this one used a 12x12 photo printed by Persnickety Prints. Just by adding a few bits into the negative space of the photo, it gave the right amount of dimension and detail. I hand cut the title from the patterned paper using the Honey Bee scissors. They are my go-to tool for fussy cutting and dealing with smaller pieces.

And this may be one of my favorite layouts - the contrast of the black and white photo strip against the colorful polka dots just makes me happy. And that skinny phrase washi tape from Bessie?! It will definitely be showing up on nume…

It will definitely be showing up on numerous projects in the near future. There is plenty of it on the roll, so there is no need to try and "save" it.

And with the Add-Ons (which are all equally lovely, but if you're looking to choose just one, I would say Bessie is my favorite). This one I decided to all the title and journaling on the computer (so it's hybrid). I used my own …
