5 for Friday

1. JC was in Vegas for CES for just a couple nights, but this is what happened when he got home. It was Jack's nap time, but I kept him up a bit longer so he could see daddy before taking a rest. Not sure who missed who more.

2. While JC was gone, on Jack's second outing for sushi (first time was for lunch a few weeks ago), we took a selfie at the sushi bar. You may have already seen it on Instagram.

3. Well according to the tech world, the scrapbooking business is booming. With the sad news of Archiver's closing all their stores, I sure hope Gizmodo is right.

This Casio Pomrie is pretty darn cute.

4. Really enjoyed seeing this piece on what celebrities would look like if they were normal people, as envisioned by NYC artist Danny Evans.

Not everyone can attend live events in different parts of the world, which is why this True Scrap Pocket Pages event is so awesome. Whether you're new to the concept, or you've been a Project Lifer from way back, there are six incredible classes to educate and inspire you. And the best part? It's online – LIVE! How cool! On January 25, you'll log in to a state-of-the-art web room where teachers like Marcy Penner, Layle Koncar, and Lilith Eeckels will treat attendees to hour-long classes on various topics:

  • Hybrid Hints for Paper People from Traci Reed

  • Pocket Scrapping 101: Back to Basics from Layle Koncar

  • Do You Hear What I Hear? Including Your Family’s Perspectives in Your Pocket Spreads from Marcy Penner

  • KISS: Keep It Simple, Scrappy! Simplifying the Pocket Page Process from Monica McNeil

  • Playing Big: Adding 12×12 photos and layouts to your Pocket Pages Albums from Lilith Eeckels

  • Outside the Lines: Creative Approaches to Adding Journaling to Your Pocket Pages from Stephanie Bryan

You'll have plenty of time to interact with the instructors live, asking them all your burning pocket scrapbooking questions. And with sponsors including Simon Says Stamp, Gossamer Blue, Project Life, Studio Calico, and Simple Stories, it's going to be an incredibly colorful, creative, and community-filled day. Oh, and everything is recorded so you can go back to watch the replays whenever you'd like.

True Scrap Pocket Pages is produced by scrapbook superhero Lain Ehmann, founder of the True Scrap events. To date, she's produced dozens of online virtual events, helping thousands of women find simplicity, inspiration, and fun in their scrapbooking and paper crafting.
