Basketball Diaries

It looks like I've got my big basketball and he has his little one.

I asked my mom to snap some photos in her backyard last week and naturally the doggies had to get in on the action.

Week 34/35 bump (and life) update:

  • Everyday for 2 weeks now the little guy has had hiccups. Sometimes it happens even 2-3 times a day.

  • I have been waking up once or twice in the middle of the night with a cough and the need to pee. A couple days ago I slept all the way through the night!

  • Thank goodness for Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches from Costco. Some days it's one for baby, one for me. And some days I feel just like an actual skinny cow.

  • Still having a smoothie every day - at least on the weekdays.

  • Without a cup of coffee or tea (yes, my doctor says a cup a day is fine) in the mornings, I get super sleepy around 4pm and need to lay down. Which is why I try and have some small amount of caffeine if the naps can't be scheduled.

  • We have been sleeping in the new house! This is big. And so is our bed. We got a California King and had no idea how difficult it would be to find the necessary accessories. We got a Stearns & Foster mattress (we like it firm) and are absolutely loving the sleep we are getting.

  • Not sure how much bigger my feet have gotten but I tried to wear my running shoes just for more support one day and they were very snug. Oy.

  • I'm rather embarrassed, but I was going through a closet I still had clothes in at the house we rented for my mom (I lived there 5 years ago) and found clothes I packed with me from Atlanta that I had never worn. People, I moved from the ATL in October 2003. Almost 10 years ago!

  • Needless to say, now I am definitely only bringing things I LOVE into the new house. Going to keep this piece of advice in mind - "Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful."

  • Which is making shopping for items slightly more difficult. I am being picky, JC is being picky. There's a lot of searching and scouring at the flea market, furniture stores and online, but we are enjoying every bit (well, most) of the process.
