WC | EC v2 : What I Wore to Dinner & a Movie
Here's the second installment of our little fashion series. KP and I are going to try and do this twice a month. Today's edition is what I would wear to dinner and a movie.
Around here, the name of the game is layering. The weather is rather pleasant most of the time, but I tend to get cold in restaurants (especially when I finish eating) and the temperature in a theater can also be a bit chilly. The jacket is one of a kind, made by Random Nicole.
The top is a farmer's market find - Brentwood has them on Sunday mornings and often there are vendors who sell items other than food. I swear I would wear these denim leggings by Robin's Jean every single day if I could. In fact I wore my 1st pair so much (3 times a week for many months) that I managed to get a hole in the knee and then in the buttocks. The fabric is thin and stretchy and oh so comfy. Surprisingly these MaxStudio heels (purchased 3 years ago) are also comfortable. I wouldn't walk around Disneyland in them, but as far as heels go, they sure are nice. On my toenails is Essie Bachelorette Bash. Still wearing my Nike Fuelband and have been hitting my daily goal of 3000 everyday for a few weeks now. It's a good streak, and I am loving that it helps me stay active. I wore this outfit to dinner at Westside Tavern.
They are always busy and though I enjoy the food, I had a hard time understanding why everything was so crazy that Thursday night. Without going into too much detail, service was slow and they forgot our appetizer and only brought our entrees. They apologized and asked to rush the app or buy us another round of cocktails, but we didn't want either, mostly because we wanted our oysters before our meal. It all worked out in the end because we were able to make it and get great seats (you have to choose assigned seats when buying the tickets) for Moonrise Kingdom. It was delightful and visually stunning. Two thumbs up from me, and only one from JC. Once a month I'll offer a sponsor giveaway to go along with this post. This time it's for an accessory that I just can't live without. My camera (obviously), but more importantly, my stylish camera strap by bluebird chic.
