Kids These Days.

Good friends combined with cheap airfare are just a couple of the reasons to travel to South Florida. Never mind the sunshine, beaches and gorgeous scenery. My dear friend Kara is now pregnant with her 3rd (!) baby due in 6 weeks! Naturally I had to schedule a quick trip to go see some of my favorite people. Posted this photo on Instagram of 2 Instax minis. The kids thought the camera was a toy and really wanted to take pictures with it. They were mesmerized at the funny noise it made while the picture was coming out.

On my visit last year I brought Buster along for the fun. Here is the video from that quick little trip:

Here's the direct link to the video on Vimeo. Song is by Sugarland - Stuck Like Glue. The video was shot on my iPod and edited in iMovie and made everyone smile. The kids both chimed in and said, "I wanna see it again!" and without skipping a beat tried touched the screen on my laptop. Newell, who is now 4 years old said the cutest things while I was there. While watching this video, he exclaimed, "Mom, that's when you didn't have a big belly!" Another favorite was while he was playing with his trucks and cars, I said, "oh those are so fun!" And he said, "Amy, did you have Hess trucks when you were a boy?" After seeing my nails painted turquoise, I offered to give Lily her first pedicure. She chose Super Bossa Nova (she called it dark pink) as her color. Newell got excited and wanted his toes painted too.

You'd think he'd want Turquoise & Caicos, but he opted for dark pink like his little sister.

Seriously, all my friends make the cutest, sweetest kids. Life is good as "Auntie" Amy.
