Daily postings in December

I've decided to try and post something every day this month. Lofty goals are always made on the 1st of the month or the start of anything. And if you all are wondering about #mileaday, I am already a failure. I made it to Day 7 and then on Day 8 & 9 it rained. I used the rain as an excuse a reason to not run. I suck and it's ok. I will continue to do the miles on the days I can and am trying really hard to hit my Nike Fuelband goal of 3000 every day for the rest of the year. Keeping it simple and small (4x6 again, this time landscape orientation). See how the cover came together in this post. Worked up a couple intro pages using what I had on hand, one of which was a Bloomingdales ad from last year. (supplies: washi tapes || gold heart from this sticker album || hot pink ink pad) I cleared off just enough space on my desk to start working on this. Cleaning up as soon as I am done with each project is another goal. Dang, December is bringing on big plans.(supplies: evalicious now at Two Peas!)

So I started this a bit early this year, because when I looked back on my previous books, they both had pages from Urbanic's Holiday Soirees from 2010 and 2011. Now I automatically associate these festive events with kicking off the holiday season. Apologies in advance for the photos, as it was already dark last night and I really wanted to get these up on the blog today. (supplies: ampersand || evalicious cloud date stamp, journaling card & tab || white alphas || black and white chevron paper

I'll just consider these bonus pages in my album since I usually start to slack off around Christmas/towards the end of the month anyway. Happy first day of December!

December Daily + a CAMEO giveaway! (CLOSED)

Alright, so one of my favorite parts of the December Daily album is putting together the cover. You can see 2010 here and 2011 here. Another favorite part is decorating the insides and then having the books completed (thru the 25th) to look at for years to come. This year I am using the Studio Calico kit (which is sold out), and I will be elaborating more on the process in the 25 Days class (you have until Nov 30th to sign up) as well as showing progress photos here on the blog.In between other work, I got excited about getting something on the cover, so I stuck a piece of washi tape along the bottom. Then resumed the other work. A couple days later I carved out an hour, determined to finish the cover. Sadly, the washi tape was not sticking to the fabric, so I just peeled it off and started from scratch. It was a bit deflating, so I decided to work on the inside instead. I stamped Ann-Marie's "Sending You JOY This Season" on the inner cover and felt a rather ridiculous amount of happiness. It sounds silly, but sometimes you just have to dive into it by taking a really small step. Then I cut a few of Ali Edwards' designs exclusive to the 25 Days class. Since I can't seem to work in a tidy, neat space, I spread out a bunch of items from the kit and my collection and went to town.Supplies: Hey There stamp set || Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday stamp set || Scrapperin stamp set || Pamela Garrison stamps || Hearts by Sweet Stamp At some point along the way, I decided to only use stamps + Black Staz On for my cover. Digging the simplicity of it and plan on adding a lot more color and bling and all sorts of things on the inner pages. Now for the really fun part!
