catching up on the 30 day photo challenge

As usual, with nearly all projects that require repetition for longer than a week, I have failed. With the best of intentions, I missed out on day 9 of the 30 day photo challenge. Work got really hectic and I totally spaced on it. Suppose that's why these things are called challenges. I may just sneak in 'a faceless self portrait' on another day though. You all won't mind, right?

Are you all playing along with the 30 day photo challenge? How's it going?

planes trains and automobiles

We're done with our lovely vacation and headed back to LA today.
Someone was nice enough to get this group shot of all of us & I got JC's youngest brother to do a jumping photo.

Today went like this: Woke at 6:45am, got coffees & bagel sandwiches and were on the road by 7:30am. Returned the rental car (Ford Flex!) to the mall (weird, I know) in Jersey City at 10:15am.
Tried to get on the wrong train and then finally got on the right one. And this is where I lose track of the time because we were on 3 trains before arriving to JFK at 1:00pm. JC and I parted ways as he prefers to fly American Airlines and I prefer Delta. It is now 5:00pm and I have been in the Sky Club all afternoon (a fantastic investment of $25 considering I get free internet, snacks, drinks and a comfy, quiet place to sit & charge all my devices.) At 7pm I will be embarking on the "planes" portion of this travel day. Happy Saturday!

5 for Friday

Day 4 of the 30 Day Photo Challenge was favorite color. I usually go with bright selections, like yellow and orange, but decided neutrals are my favorite at the moment. After all, they go with everything.

At CHA, Melissa Stinson and I sat down for an interview for Scrapbook Update.

Yesterday was our coolest, windiest day at the beach and I got JC's sister to jump:

If you're considering quitting your job to follow your passion, here's an inspiring video from Grace Kang, founder of Pink Olive that might just put you over the edge.

MOVE, a video by Rick Mereki has me in awe of how creative people are making their dreams come true. It also has me wondering if I should be taking videos on the D90 instead of the iPod Touch. Maybe it's just about collaborating with other creative folks who travel and film and chase their dreams wildly. In any case, it dropped my jaw and might drop yours as well.

Sunshine: American Crafts is hosting a giveaway for one of your favorite new lines from Summer 2011.

I am blushing as I am reading so many of the comments. Seriously, you scrapbookers are truly amazing. All the collections are lovely, and cannot wait to use them in conjunction with my line, especially Garden Cafe. You have until tomorrow to enter, best of luck!
