Behind the Scenes + December Daily Video

Since the time change (daylight saving) it's been a bit tricky figuring out the lighting and filming schedule in the studio. Yesterday (December 1) I felt the strong pull of trying to figure out how I was going to do my December Daily this time around. I pulled out all of my albums from previous years and flipped through them. Both Jamie and Ann-Marie were in the studio so I asked them their opinions, and after much back and forth, mostly just me doubting myself and changing my mind a ton of times, I think I may have figured out what I wanted to do. More on that to come, but basically I think I may go smaller than the last two years and stick with simple, simple, simple.

But for now, I thought it would be fun to share a little behind the scenes of how I filmed this video.

Since it was way too dark in the studio when I decided I should probably film a flip through of the albums, I moved my set up into my dining room and Ann-Marie took some photos.

The last shot is of me realizing I should probably get a photo for Instagram. Do you like this behind the scenes type of stuff? Are you interested in more details on how I film and put together my videos? Let me know in the comments below and I'm happy to put together more information on my favorite gear. If you're looking for an awesome vlogging camera/video camera in general, I highly recommend the Canon G7X I have been using since this summer.
