paper tales is a smash

Took this little sampler Smash book on our last minute trip to San Diego. It was the perfect size for the short weekend getaway. I decorated the cover before leaving on Friday with Studio Calico County Line paper, American Crafts Neopolitan Nellie paper, Studio Calico Fabrips, Knot & Bow tag, Hambly washi tape & Sassafras alphabet stickers.

Along with some other crafty goodies, I brought along my trusty portable printer, Fujifilm Pivi MP-3oo, which I blogged about last year. I highly recommend to all of you who love Instax photos. It connects via USB and prints up a credit card sized photo in about 60 seconds. Here's the set up working on the bed of the hotel room.

It makes scrapbooking-on-the-go a total breeze, and leaves little excuse for not getting the book done soon after the trip. Another reason I was able to complete the book quickly was a very successful shopping trip to Paper Tales. Have you seen this store? It is a total time+eye candy trap. The girls were so sweet and delightful and mentioned my visit here. I stayed there for over an hour just taking in one of the most beautiful little paper stores ever, wouldn't you agree?

Hope you enjoyed the little tour. Any store with washi tapes and a holder I had never seen before is just perfect in my book. If you're anywhere near San Diego, I highly recommend stopping in. And if you're looking for the highly coveted Lawn Fawn Polaroid Say Cheese set that seems to be sold out everywhere, they have a few left - just give them a call and they'll be happy to ship them to you. *ack, you guys are amazing & they sold out!* I'll be back tomorrow showing the pages inside the little smash book. Happy Tuesday!
