the scene

The party decor is all set, the food is getting ready to be served, the drinks are pouring and guests begin to stream in. The party planner's running around making sure every last detail is taken care of, and thankfully it is. This is usually the calm before the storm for us when we're scrapbooking on the scene. Guest take photos, have them printed, come over to us & they write a note to the guest of honor. We then carefully craft a scrapbook page to go into the album that the guest of honor will receive at the end of the evening. It's a pretty simple concept & we've done it many times before, yet every party is something completely new. The best part is seeing the faces & reactions to such a wonderful keepsake. I haven't shared too much of the parties I've done in the past, but as we get more and more double booked for events, I thought I would follow Paige's lead and show you what kept me busy Saturday night. Cindy & Paige worked a Bat Mitzvah for LA Photo Party (you need to check out the stunning photos Paige has up on her blog), while I worked Ariana's 19th Birthday Party. The backyard was set up beautifully, an idyllic setting for a jungle themed event. all the guests were so polite and a delight to be around. The invitation read, "Come Dressed to Kill": girls were asked to wear animal print and the guys dressed to impress.

Ariana was overjoyed with the way her album turned out. After they get their shots back from the professional photographer who was at the party, we'll be adding more pages so that she has an amazing memory book of her 19th birthday celebration. Always fun parties going on, thanks for letting me share this one!
