creative on the cheap.

Getting crafty with money (not just cool supplies) is something I was fortunate enough to be brought up with and have learned to adapt in everyday living. From clothing, to food, to hobbies, I pride myself on being a smart shopper, even when I splurge. I don't mind spending money on expensive items if they'll get a lot of use (ie- my Prada sunglasses I purchased from Italy have been on my face protecting my eyes from the sun every day since I've been home). Since I am constantly searching for good value, I've been thinking a lot lately on how to enjoy life to the fullest, even on a budget.

Here are just a couple ways I saved $ and still experienced a lot over the past week.

Free concerts at the Pier, Tift Merritt and Joan Baez were onstage while we hung out at the beach...
I attended Renegade Craft Fair and soaked in lots of creativity. This will need a whole post later, but here's my favorite purchase of the day from BookJournals
