Sometimes when I travel, I feel like I don't take enough photos. Maybe I just don't take enough of the right kind of photos. So while I was in New York a couple weeks ago (with virtually no scrapbook stuff with me) I took a catalog from Plastic Island 's Fall Collection and made this little book. I just used the magazines and supplies I had (always have a glue stick handy) and slapped together a few random pages.
I plan on jotting down random moments where I wish I whipped out my camera, but didn't because either it was inappropriate or because a photo wouldn't have captured the essence of what I was feeling.
Finally got a flip, and am excited to put it to good use. Can't wait to share some videos once I learn how to edit them etc etc. If anyone has any tips, please feel free to share.
For those who are looking to learn how to use the reverse applique technique we use on shirts on paper- here's my first tutorial on ScrapInStyleTV. I do hope you play along, as a winner will be chosen for some amy tangerine goodness. I chose to use the photo of me and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) in honor of Sex and the City coming out next Friday, May 30th! I have a certain lovely person to thank for getting me into the premier party/screening next Tuesday, May 27th! That is what I consider a big deal!
