First, I must thank you all for your kind words about the announcement of my new book. So exciting that some of you already have it, and for those who don’t, it’s easy to order an autographed copy online! They should also be on newsstands any day now – check with your local scrapbooking stores as well as Archivers’, Joann & Hobby Lobby.
I have to admit, it was a strange start to this year. I was not in my normal, excited, refreshed state when the New Year came along. No one could likely tell I was in a funk, but I could. Happily, it’s now week 3 and whatever it was has passed. Pretty sure putting this spread together had something to do with it. The process is therapeutic and almost has a cleansing quality. Like after the week is over, and after I have put it into my Project Life album, then I can totally move on.
Since I was in a but of a funk, I decided to stick with a simple color palette, so as not to add more unnecessary frustration. I also used Pam Garrison’s “It’s a Bit Week” stamp set throughout.

Supplies: ampersand – Today’s Story by Echo Park Paper || lifelovepaper triangles journaling card || Pam Garrison stamps || washi tape || Surrounded paper || Primetime paper || Evalicious Dog Badge || Elle’s Studio tags || Staz On Jet Black ink || Project Life protectors
Recently I was asked what album I am using this year for Project Life. Originally I was going to use another black with cameras album, but am seriously considering switching to this woodgrain chevron.

WOW, what a gorgeous PL layout!!! It speaks volumes of your creative adventures, and no, I don’t think you were in a funk. Whatever that feeling was, you’ve managed to rise above that and enjoy your God-given artistry.
Thanks for posting and sharing. Please tell me, where did you get that large black and white ampersand card (the one that says “& here we Go”). I love it!
