Tip: Use pop dots as embellishments

Love taking something I have had for years and adding new life to it. If you’re a paper crafter, you’ve probably stocked up on plenty of pop dots to add dimension to your projects. Instead of using them traditionally, I took the utility out and make them polka dots. Instead of peeling both sides for the adhesive, I only did one and kept the paper backing on the exposed side.1979 // Copyright Two Peas in A Bucket, where there is a complete list of supplies used, except for white Zing! which can be found at Studio Calico. // Two Peas In A Bucket FREE shipping Code for August is: H3QJ4R

Instead of using the original photo, I took a picture of it using my iPhone and uploaded it thru the free Lifepics app. Then when I got onto my computer, they automatically appeared in my Persnickety Prints account, where I chose the sizes for my order. The quality of the photos from Persnickety is fantastic. This particular print is 3×3″ on cardstock, one of my favorites for Instagram printing. This might be the way I reprint some of my favorite old photos – easy and compliments the vintage look. All makes for a fresh twist on oldies but goodies.

Really? You sometimes blow me away! I have buttloads of pop dots! I haven’t touched them since 2000 when I started this hobby lol! I am whipping those puppies out today! Thanks for your never ending inspiration.

What a great idea . . . and I don’t think I ever would have thought of it! Could dip the adhesive into glitter, too, for another twist.

great idea, but be careful taking it in and out of your page protectors. If one of those toppers falls up, you have a sticky dot again :)

I love the pop dots idea! How do you think of these things? The layout is great, love the wood background paper. It really brings back the feel of wood paneling that seemed to be everywhere back in the day.
