awesome things.

For as long as I can remember, I have always thought that things from Japan were awesome. I collected mechanical pencils, erasers, and Hello Kitty anything. My favorite penpal was a girl named Akiko who moved back to Japan after 2nd grade. Her writing was so neat and always sent on the cutest stationery imaginable. Fast forward 3 decades, I am still smitten with all things Japanese – especially sushi and washi tape. When I first laid eyes on Baum-Kuchen’s gorgeous displays at an event in Venice, I was immediately smitten. And lucky for you all, they have an online shop.
From their website: We are passionate about living life and excited to share with you everything extraordinary that inspires everyday lifestyles. How amazing does that sound? I love supporting a carefully curated small business so I picked up some of their products, including a box of small kraft envelopes. It’s the perfect size for a quick little handmade card.
And the perfect size for including a giftcard. Love that it says, “For whatever you want.”

I also ordered this framed map which will be hanging in my booth at CHA this week. It’s also available as a poster if you prefer to do the framing yourself. For those of you at home, wherever you are in the world, you’ll be able to see recap photos from the show by the end of the week. If you’re at the show, it would be awesome if you popped in and said hi!

I’m with you in “all things Japanese”, they have the BEST office supplies (& husbands, too) ;) on our last trip to Japan my husband waited patiently while I shopped for 6 hours in Itoya (6floors of office/craft/washi tape wonderfulness!)

Love! Where did you get the yellow striped washi tape?! I have been looking everywhere for some!
