Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending the day with some creative women at Treasured Memories. The store is located in Oak Park, and because it was a Saturday morning it only took 40 minutes to go 38 miles. This was quite a victory considering some trips to the valley can take double the time. I arrived and immediately set up the washi tape bar (sorry I didn’t take a photo of it). Kits were passed out and in 2 hours, the first class completed 2 layouts using some fun techniques like hand-stitching, watercolors, stamping and making sequin tape.

There was a little break for lunch where the girls from the store picked up Baja Fresh. I am a big fan of their steak quesadilla. No photo of that either, as it vanished quickly. Some folks stayed for the second class as well. We embellished the cover of a Daybook using more watercolors, stickers, glitter tape, and a button.

Thanks to all who came to play that day and Christine for having me! If you’re in LA or planning a trip, Treasured Memories is one of the only stores within an hour and I’d highly recommend a visit.
Because it was the last time for me teaching these classes in person, I thought it might be fun to offer the kits online to those who couldn’t make it. The 2 page layout kit comes with printed instructions, while the mini book kit is more free flowing and contains no instructions. They’re available in the shop now. Internationals: please select the International shipping option and add it to the cart.

Mini book + Film Canister class
Come get crafty with Amy Tangerine and create a brand new, never before seen project. You’ll make a stitched mini album that fits perfectly into an authentic film canister. You’ll be using Amy Tangerine’s newest line, Sketchbook, as well as Studio Calico and Hambly goodies to put together a “Lovely Things” mini book with fabric paper. Please bring your basic kit along with a paper piercer, healing mat, and black ink for stamping. Feel free to bring photos that make you happy to fill the book. Packed with fun techniques and a bit of stitching, the kit comes with plenty of supplies for future projects.

Hope to see you there!

I did see that you may not have these class kits available for sale on your website…but do you have a supply list or maybe even an instruction sheet so that I could try to purchase the supplies and recreate it? I would love to make this album but I’m about as far from Cali as a person could get (Maine)!
I’ve got some big changes going on in my life over this summer, kind of starting a new chapter and this looks like a great place to record all of that. I love this line…it fits me perfectly!
