Daybooks

While it’s fun for me to put together and embellish my own daybooks, I don’t think it gets better than seeing what others have made. Eve of Shopevalicious worked on hers while on a trip to Salt Sea Island, and put the finishing touches on it when she returned. We’re both big fans of the Pivi printer, and adding real souvenirs like fold out maps to our books.

You can see her entire wonderful album here.

When I came across Jeanne’s Daybook in the Studio Calico gallery, I knew I had to share it with you all. Here are just a few pages from her colorful little book. Be sure to check out the rest of it here! The daybooks are perfect for summer travels! Also perfect is our little travel kit, which is part of a big giveaway happening on Design Editor’s blog.

Thanks for sharing! I love seeing what amazing things people come up with for their Daybooks. I’ve had two sitting in my craft room for quite some time now and I’ve decided it’s time to break ‘em out! Lol! I’m going to be using one for my upcoming vacation to Destin and I can’t wait to work on it ;)

I have a somewhat dippy question. The front and back pages — with the stickers? Are you meant to use the stickers in the book and then remove those pages, or do you use them as part of your book? I have several of your daybooks, and I can’t decide!

Not a “dippy” question at all. I had envisioned them being used and staying in the book. But feel free to do whatever you please! Hope this helps!

Thanks, Amy, for creating these AWESOME daybooks! I absolutely love them. Let me tell you why.

I am a Project Life failure because there’s no end to that album until the year is over. I don’t have children, so it’s hard to fill up the pages. I tried PL last year and it was maddening. My working space was full of clutter, and I felt overwhelmed. Eventually, I fell behind in May. Weeks passed, and I felt terrible. Then guilt mounted. Scrapbooking should be fun, not make anyone feel miserable. So, I gave up. My 2011 PL album is incomplete.

I love your daybooks because they’re super cute, and you admire the end result quickly. I use your washi tape, embellishments, my Pivi Printer (thanks to you), and I have an awesome completed scrapbook that I can share with others.

Your daybooks are also portable, for I love to work on it at coffee shops. People love to see what I’m doing. Great conversation starter! I always give the credit to you and tell people to look for Amy Tangerine products.

That PL album is not portable and just sits at home to haunt you all year. I applaud everyone who’s diligently finding success with PL. Bravo! Cheers! That album is not for me. It’s way too exhausting and overwhelming.

Thanks, Amy, for your daybooks. They’re so much fun! Thanks for carefully selecting the color scheme, design, and size (very portable). Please, please keep designing them!!!!

    Thanks again! God bless.

Hi Amy, love that day book.
I just bought one but having a hard time removing the tack from the round sticker that held the book shut. Any advice on how to remove the sticky stuff. I’m almost tempted to remove the transparency but then again it’s one of the things I love about it.

Hi Natalie, the best way I have found to remove the sticky stuff is by using some scotch tape and dabbing it on and off to “lift off” the residue. Hope that makes sense. It takes about 2 minutes and should work to completely remove all of it. If not, I have also just covered that part with a sticker – either regular or fabric. Thanks and hope this helps!
