Week 14 + Project Life giveaway

Another week down, and yes I am still loving every bit of this, even when I get behind. My desk remains a bit of a mess, but it’s evidence that there’s a lot of working getting done. I’m getting better about cleaning up in between projects, but it’s all about baby steps when it comes to eradicating bad  habits. At least that is what I tell myself.

After I took photos of the individual pages, I realized I forgot to snap a photo of the desk (I know how much you all enjoy seeing it.) I also found the coffee hugger sleeve from the W Hotel in my purse and decided to add it on top of the cameras.

It was a good week with some delicious meals. In LA, I would highly recommend Tender Greens for lunch, and favorites Gjelina and The Tasting Kitchen for dinner. If you find yourself in Newark, Old Town Sushi has some huge rolls that are an incredible value. And Simply Thai has some darn good dishes.

    Arlington, VA, and today I got to see the shuttle Discovery flyby. The NASA 747 (with fighter escort) was taking it to it's new home at the Air and Space Museum Udvar Hazy location and they did a fabulous flyby of the DC area. Very cool!

    i work in a pediatric icu in san diego, ca. my good thing is that this week i helped a family through the acceptance of letting their loved one go. Through crafting, acupuncture, and journaling i was able to cope with this myself and truly see it as a positive outcome instead of letting it bring me down. This was such a blessing for me. I already have project life (and there are so many people whom it would bring so much joy to who have commented, and feel like i shouldn't even enter), however i have been working on a project to boost morale with patients, families and staff and have thought project life could bring some joy in some way to our unit. A way to document the cards, letters, and pictures we receive from our families. Thanks for the opportunity!

    Something good? This weekend we made a big boy bedroom for my son (he is 4) with a desk and a chair of his own. My husband and I put it together and moved it into his room while he was sleeping. I even hung shadow boxes with all his Disneyland pins inside above his desk. He slept right through all the noise. When he finally awoke, we were sitting at the dinner table… All we could hear was giggling! It was the best ever!
