Love this quote and had to record it in my journal. A bit obsessed with watercolors and markers at the moment.
Other happy things:
-It’s the last week of The Good Life class at Big Picture, and it’s bittersweet. I will miss the interaction with so many talented folks who are eager to learn fun techniques. On a happier note, however, the gallery is so full of goodness, just grateful that we can access it even after the class ends next week.
-Sara shares her finished mini book from Scrapfest.
-Jenny shares her finished layouts from the class at Paper Tales.
-Stacy Julian was on Martha Stewart Morning Living show and shared her top tips for getting started with scrapbooking. This list is great to keep in mind even if you’ve been doing it for years.
-Working on an album for a client who took an amazing trip to Alaska. Adding it to the list of places I want to visit.
-Getting ready for Spark! next week and cannot wait to see you all there. We will have some tee shirts, kits and other fun crafty items available at the market.
-Really looking forward to seeing Emily there.
We were able to catch up on the phone a couple days ago and it was so nice to hear her fantastic voice (Australian accents are the best!). If you can’t make it to Spark, Emily’s got a class starting October 27th at Big Picture Classes:
Fabulous Felting – A Beginner’s Guide to Wet Felting
Have you ever felt like trying it? Felting that is! Felting is a hands-on, all ages, colorful, creative treat for the senses and Emily and Nicole are going to show you just how it is done! Wet felting is the art of taking soft, natural wool (often called roving), and combining it with water and agitation to form endless options of texture and shape. In this three-week workshop you will learn all the basic skills to create various felt pieces. Get ready for your world to be rocked with felt-a-liciousness! Projects include felt beads, a scarf, layered felt flowers and a seamless pouch – wonderful handmade gifts for the upcoming season and a whole lot of skill to take your felting further!
Emily is giving away a spot in her class to one of you wonderful blog readers! To enter, simply leave a comment telling me something happy. Winner will be announced on Monday, October 17.
